Hey all
I kept getting STOP errors in Windows 7, and system resets in Windows XP after a few hours of gaming. Now, when I run PRIME95 (at 3ghz 333x9), I get a crash within a couple of minutes. This is odd - only a week ago I could run PRIME95 (& OCCT / IBT) for HOURS with no errors. So I have a hard time believing this is hardware related.
Anyways, I reduced the multiplier to 8 (@ 2.66ghz now) and the problem seems to have gone away. What's happening here? Just electromigration taking its affect? I'll try increasing the voltage slightly and seeing if that helps. Maybe a new BIOS also?
