Is this a good site?

Postby Jersey Flyer » Sun Aug 09, 2009 12:52 am

http://www.jetlinesystems.com/home.html

I am planning on buying a really good CPU for FSX, approx. between $1,000 - $1,500 and I see this site looks pretty good, but I would like to know has anybody else purchased from there? or does anyone know of a better site? thanks

I have never bought pre-built computers.... but seeing the prices in that page... I think building your own is a MUCH better deal.

www.newegg.com  ;)

With $1500 you can buy a beast there... 8-)

I guess its time for you to learn. The max it can happen is "pc not working"
But if i can do it.You also can do it.And if i menage to keep some $ in pocket its worth it to learn.
With $1500 of budget, you can build a wonderful machine and keep some money.
Tell us what is your decision and help will came along. ;)

I really dont trust myself at all building an actual hard drive considering I know nothing about doing it or have nobody around me that knows.. It sounds like a good idea but I'm afraid that I will definitely screw it up and thats why Im really turned down to that idea... I dont want all my money to go down the drain b/c I screwed something up, atleast if I bought a CPU from another company already built and for what ever reason it won't work, I know atleast I'll get a refund or some sort of professionial support so I know that I won't be on my own when it comes to dealing with hardware like that.. I'm more into fixing car's and motors than computers  :o

I never built a computer before too but when I started to do research on the web and listened to all the advice I got from SimV I built a great gaming computer. Specs are in my sig.

You learn a whole lot more by building it on your own than buying one. You can also tweek anything you want to your specs. ;)

Here is a $900 Intel i720 cpu system that will wipe that $1,500 Xjett 750 off the map:

Well let me put it this way.
1 you rather fix cars than pc? Well think like this the tools you need are cheaper, to build and repair pc's.
2 People are giving you help. In my time and most of this guys time there were no forums to help, all was FPS experience.
3 YOU HAVE THE MONEY?? USE IT.
4 "Sorry my pc crash, how can i do to repair it??" BUY ANOTHER ONE!!!
Good luck.

The rev. on that pc are very good!!

Pros: Very fast machine. A lot of room for upgrades. Very fast shipping. Very good Cyberpower customer service(Try to call early in the morning, hold time can be long)

Cons: I am an nvidia guy. This is my first ATI. I tried to update the drivers and got an error with the ccc. WARNING: uninstall your older drivers before installing the new ones, or you will have the 2 day headache that i went through. I called cyberpower, the guy tried to help me but in vain. So i decided to google the mom.implementation error, and got it fixed at last.
Again, this is not newegg, or cyberpowers fault. thats why they get 5 eggs. As for ATI, I dont know if i was doing something wrong, but i am going back to nvidia(they can find the drivers for me and update them with the click of a button)
Other Thoughts: Very good system for the price. Just spend around 150 bux and get you an nvidia gtx 260 and you will be good to go for a long long time.
About the Mom.implementation...just google that and add ati next to it, you will see how many people had this problem.

Buy it, then dont forget to buy a new video card!!!! The forums will be here!!!

For the $700 difference you could buy both a nice monitor and a great 285GTX video card .
