Dual Monitor Problems

Postby Aiden327 » Sat Aug 01, 2009 1:54 am

I seem to have a problem with dual monitors while using DX10 mode. I have been using DX9 for a while and the FSX uses my (0.0) monitor as the main, but when in Direct X 10 it loads on the secondary monitor (0.1). Normally I would use DX9 but I get way better performance in DX10 because my graphics card is native to it.

I get 8FPS with all sliders maxed on DX9 at major airports and 20fps with DX10 so fixing the monitor issue would be great. However I don't know where to start?

System Specs:

GTX 285
Q9650
8gb ddr2 800mhz Cas Lat 4
Vista 64bit
Main monitor is a Samsung SyncMaster 220 22" 1680x1050
Secondary Monitor is a IBM G78 17" 1600x1200, 1024x768 optimal.

EDIT: I have found a temporary solution which is to run it in a window, drag it to my main monitor and then re-enter full screen. This doesn't fully fix the problem as I get a black screen when i exit until I click back on the desktop  ::).

I have the exact same problem with my dual screen setup.

Do anybody have a tip or two?

Switch plugs or screens. Videocard's primary exit is connected to secondary monitor. Windows sees this, DX not
