I've done it...

After coming upon a fair amount of free computer components from my co-worker, I've done something I am quite proud of...

I built my first computer! =D

It's using parts from an old HP M7590N Media Center, but seeing as I was unable to acquire all the parts and the case itself, I had to make due with an older case with parts that no longer function.

My new system is quite nice, and very much an improvement over my previous one!

Old
2.2GHz AMD 3200+
2GB PC2700
2 HD's totaling 480GB.
Nvidia 7600GS 512MB

My scratch-built machine is:
3.2GHz Pentium D 940 (One core is clocking 3.2, the other is 2.4... Is there something I'm not aware of here?)
2GB PC5300
2x 250GB Western Digital HD's
Graphics card is apparently a 256mb DDR3 card.

It's nothing fancy, but it's one hell of an upgrade over what I had. Really just need to throw a beefier PSU and better GPU in, as well as another 2 gigs of RAM and I'll be set!  :D :D

All cores are at the same speed. Must be an error with your programme. Use CPU-Z.

Yep, the issue fixed itself.

Downloaded windows updates, after a restart, things were all normal :P
