Apple :-/

.....hmmm. Anyone here use an imac? In the next couple of months i shall be obtaining one these admittedly superb looking machines through family although im unsure just which one at the moment. Im presuming a intel based imac, as its pretty new and was used in a buisness enviroment -  but other than that i know little about them other than what ive read on the net..........

I recently bought an iphone, and have to say its a wonderful little invention that ive hardly put down and my only gripe with that is that i cant MMS with it but its not the end of the world - and i presume an imac will not dissapoint.

However, what can be done with these machines? Im aware i can run most of my games and so on on it, somehow (WoW, fs9, FSX mainly) or can i? And are they upgradable easily? I note some come with Nvidia cards and some dont, and so on... are they as good as the hype and seemingly massive cost would suggest?

Opinions welcome. Ill be keeping my current PC as 'backup' because of my repaints and so on although im sure the imac is just as capable

The iMac can be upgraded i think, ask a Mac store, but me, i kinda hate them... they lock up too much doing simple tasks, but our school hooked them all up to one slow server

a friend of mine has an macbook pro and he has never said anything but good things about it. I've seen it perform and it's fast and it never locks up. he does a lot of design stuff on it and networking. that thing is fast
