FSX Capable Computer

Postby Bubblehead » Fri Jan 09, 2009 2:53 pm

Are there parts of PC I can assemble to build my own that will exceed the requirements of FSX. By this I mean motherboard, Processor and video cards which will easily meet the requirements of FSX without any tweaking.

no such animal

If you dont clock you wont be running FSX on super high settings

However to get  very good results without clocking you would need to go with a i7 processor (940/965) a 260 or a 280GTX and 3x2GB of DDR3 1333 memory rated at 1.65v.

Asus P6T Motherboard

Past that you may as well wait for Sandybridge.. the next Intel processor which will probably provide the same horsepower without clocking, as overclocking a i7 wide open but it will be another year or so before they are released
