In FS9, a Quad core would spread out the work, at best, as I saw myself.
I saw core 1 was at 100% load, and the others were at 5-10% load, but when putting FS9 on cores 2,3, and 4 instead of all 4, the others got an equal share of the load, which did help with stuttering (this is before I got my new graphics card, which I just got!).
FSX = Get the Phenom 9950 or 9850 BE.
FS9 = Get an Athlon or a Phenom X3 8750, which are both cheap but good.
