Upgrade help

Trying to get aquanted with the modern PC technology, as since I build my last one 3-4 yrs ago just used it for fs9 and did not keep up with the progres.

Will be sticking to XP pro & fs9.

1. Does the 8800GTX come as SLI or only AGP?

2. will the 8800GTX fit on my 3yr old "Asus A8N 32 sli deluxe", Chipset nF4 SLI x16, wil I have to get a new mobo?.

3. I have always been an AMD user as it was widely reported as best for fs9 (my only game). Does it still stand true, or Intel is best now?

4. this "Core 2 DUO" CPU at say 2.66, does it mean that you get a CPU speed of 5.32 (twice the 2.66) ?

5. will my present 1gb old "Corsair twinx 2x512mb" be good on the new mobos? or will have to bin it?

6. for XP / fs9 will I need more than one gb Ram?

Thanx in advance if anybody has time to answer the above.

cheers,             luke

1 and 2 I don't know much of intel mobos...
3. Your choice, I believe AMD has more power in the dual cores and Intel is strongest in quads.
4. NO. nonononoooo. Two CPU's working together but not individually.
Not sure, I would get some new faster ram though. At least 2 gigs.
6. I suggest 2gigs of fast ram for xp.
NOTE, have you thought of PSU's yet? You need at least a 500w for that rig...
