You REALLY should have looked up your COMPLETE motherboard specs before that.

PC2-4200 (533 MHz)
PC2-5300 (667 MHz)
PC2-6400 (800 MHz)
Should have a list a compatible DIMM types.
I have the PC2-5300.
CPU-Z can tell you what your MB is or (if your computer is from, say, HP) look up your computer model online. :)

Get out the manual and learn to perform a CMOS jumper reset, then perform that procedure and reconfigure your bios.

It's most likely that the bios settings were not compatible with the new ram.

I would try putting in the new ram before the cmos reset, then the PC might detect the new ram correctly at system defaults, allowing a boot into bios so you can reconfigure bios according to your hardware spec. If that doesn't work, reset cmos with the old ram installed and take it from there.

If the PSU has an isolation switch at the back of the PC, turn it off, otherwise unplug the PC before swappping components.

Ummm yah thanks for help but i might just wait 1 more day and let my friend who is a pro fix it...... here builds liker 20 computers a day and can do anything on a computer, he even overclocked his cpu ram motherboard and gpu :o ;D :D

And if he can't fix it i'll send the ram back and get a slower version
