Random system restarts... bye bye CPU....

This must be because of two simple reasons:

Bad motherboard

Bad drivers

Well, one way or another, seems this one might only be destined for my bin.

Not always. I've had things as simple as poorly installed drivers do that to me. Back up and do a fresh install. Couldn't hurt. (or are ya rootin' for a new machine)

Spyware or viruses can do it too. Are you getting any outlandish temp readings or anything?

I fixed that problem with a friends pc which restarted loads just by upgrading the Motherboard's Bios. I would look into that.
