is ALL OF THE ABOVE on that list?

RAM is going to help but its not going to change the way graphics look and the graphics will help but its not going to make the system run faster

both are really needed to see a decent improvement

As Nick said... Changing one part wont great a huge difference to other parts.

A Nintendo DS could 'have' an 8800GT but the graphics wouldnt be very good because it just doesnt have the other powers pushing the graphics.

Everything works together, so improve the CPU and you will see more objects in the game and they will load quicker, but without a good graphics card they will still look dreadful or not load on the screen quick enough.

As the card is integrated, I would say upgrade that first- it is biting into your other memory. Then upgrade the memory (its not that expensive actually) to about 1-2GB or so. 2GB on vista is fine for me.

Both at the same time, your system is just suitable for Windows/office use. Possible also need to upgrade CPU - what is it?

Always upgrade your RAM. It's the cheapest, easiest, most productive upgrade there is. It's kind of like putting a set of Hooker headers and a Flowmaster exhaust system on your car...

If you want to know about your system, Layne, download belarc advisor at belarc.com...

That's not good. 800mhz dual core is not good. You are better off starting your own build and make a desktop...I wouldn't dare run anything less than an x2 1.8ghz 1gb RAM and 200gb HD and at LEAST an integrated gfx card...you could run fs2002 on medium settings?

Your multiplier adjusts to usage, when you took the screenshot it was idling, hence the 4x multi. Under stress it will adjust up, to 6x therefore giving you a 1200Mhz speed.

I take it this is a laptop?

Under stress it SHOULD adjust to 1.6ghz.... Perhaps equivalent to a Athlon x2 3400 if one existed. :)

If it doesn't adjust to 1.6ghz underload then somethings not right.

EDIT: And you can't usually upgrade the videocards in laptops.

Yes this is a laptop but i think i can change it because it is a nVidia card so i didn't think it would matter

You don't have a videocard at the moment. You have a Graphics Processor built into the motherboard of the computer itself: integrated.

It uses a part of your system RAM as Video RAM. Not only is that slow for graphics it also slows down your entire computer ::)

And having an integrated Nvidia chip has nothing to do with whether you can add a card.

Tell us what laptop you have.
