No AA with an 8500gt

Postby JSpahn » Thu Feb 14, 2008 8:21 pm

Hey Guys,

Just did an upgrade to my system now I have an 8500gt from MSI PCIe. Loaded the drivers that came with the card and I couldn't get AA to work, tried updating the drivers with the same result.

Has anyone had the same issues with an 8000 series card? And if so how did you fix it? I still want to try an older driver version when I get some time.

Thanx :D

I have a 8800gt and yes I had that problem too, I'm not sure if its a 8000 series problem or a 8800 problem. But I used this teqn and worked perfectly just follow it excactly like Nick says.

Nick Ns tweaks with Nhancer fixed it for me on my 8800GT.

Thanks again for having NickN around! Basically I had to run NHancer get rid of the old FS9 profile. Everything works great :)

I rolled back my driver 1 release back and that seemed to give me better performance I still need to tweak my fs9.cfg a tad.

I have a 8500GT as well, what driver version should be used...?

It lists 169.21 as the version but it appears I may have two according to the Nvidia Control Panel....Under Components there's two file versions:

6.14.11.6921 and 6.14.11.6906.....Shouldn't there be only one driver present? I'm assuming the 169.21 is what the card is using now, it says that on the Display tab....

Just want to be sure I'm using the correct version.
