25% defrag

Postby Schnyd » Mon Feb 04, 2008 11:28 pm

My 'C' drive won't degrag below 25%. I have Vista installed on it's own partion of 25gig. I've been using OOdefrag for a while but recently I can't get it below 25%. All my other drives get below 1%. I'm thinking it's something to do with the page file. Of the 25gig there is anywhere between 6 and 8 gigs of free space.

Any thoughts?

What defragger are you using?

That! But version 10 for Vista.

I removed my page file and ran defrag and that time it went to 0.17% so I'm thinking that its because I have Vista installed on a smaller partition and that the page file cannot be defraged. Or something like that.

Anyone know if I will see a problem limiting my page file to 1gig. I'm running 4 gigs of ram.
