Will soon take delivery of...

a new dell XPS 420... I'm a very happy bunny!! :D

Basic specs...
Intel core 2 quad core q6600 2.4GHz, 1066MHz FSB, 8MB cache
2048mb 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM
640GB striped Raid Hard drive
512mb Nvidia Geforce 8800gt
20" widescreen monitor
Windows Vista Home Premium

Most of this was taken from a printout, I don't know the intricacies of what most of it means... my question is, I know this'll be more than sufficient to run FS9... but will it be able to run FSX on good settings at a reasonable speed? ;)

How about checking out Nicks thread 'Will my computer run FSX' http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb2 ... 1190754444

With that Fs9 should be a doddle, and i dont really know about fsx, but ill hazard a guess that it should be fairly decent, but dont hold me to that  ;)

My computer (1.87ghz dual core, 512mb 8600GTS) can run FSX quite smoothly on medium spec.. so you should be able to run medium to high.

After the installation of FSX SP2 I have no doubts you can run that smooth on high settings.
