BT Homehub- Getting around the password (to reset)

Postby machineman9 » Sat Jan 12, 2008 2:29 pm

I have a BT Homehub (big white thing, unsure if it has an exact model or if they are differnet) and because I have been having some connection problems with this Belkin router I have, my dad wants me to see if it is our internet connection or the router causing the problems.

My problem is, there is a giant password on the router, and a username, which I cannot remember since it has been over a year since this router was last used.

I am not asking on how to crack the password, I want to know how I could reset the router so I can put in all the settings again (and I believe this removes the username and password)

I cannot find a reset button on the router, which is my regular way of rebooting/resetting the router- so how else could I do this?

Cheers

If you look on the back of it, there is a grey button. Another way to reset is to simply pull the power lead and wait a few secs before putting it back in. If you need the password reset, you'll need to ring BT who can set it up for you over the phone.

The wireless association button?

Also, the power has been removed for a while and it has kept all the settings.
