What brand or type of defrag and cleaners are you guys using? Apparently the stock one I have isn't worth throwing in the trash, so any guidance would be highly appreciated.

What are you currently using?

I'm using O&O Defrag 10 (trial version which ends tomorrow):

As to the cleaner, I use CCleaner (also known as Crap Cleaner):

O&O is probably better than Kaspersky but my local store sells the OEM Version of Kaspersky at about half the price. But I am very happy with it. It caught a lot of stuff that Avast had missed.

Avast is a free download and not that bad though. In fact, for a freebie, it is great.

O&O is by far the best defrag tool on the market, hands down. Yes the professional edition costs $45, but its worth every penny.

As for reg cleaning stuff, O&O has some great stuff for that too.
