Spoiler Lever on CH Yoke

Postby Virtual_Pilot » Thu Oct 25, 2007 3:43 pm

Hey,

I have the CH Yoke, and have had it for a while. For some reason, no matter which one of the levers I program it for, there is something wrong with the spoilers. When on the ground, then if I move the lever, it will go into full spoilers and then no matter where I move the lever, the spoilers stay extended all the way. I was expecting that Acceleration would fix it, but it didn't do anything. Although, in Microsoft's Hornet, it works fine. In any plane, while in the air, the spoilers work fine.

Has anyone ever had this problem? Can anyone help me?

Thanks,

You are not alone my friend.

On my X52 Pro, I have the smallest dial set to flags (like on my X45) and now that I have a nifty slider, I set that to spoilers.  Exactly as you describe, on the ground, the spoilers go up, and stay up, yet work fine in the air.  I have absolutely no clue as to what is going on.

If Acceleration doesn't fix it, then that's it.  It will always be like that.

I can live with it, because when I'm on the ground, like taxiing or takeoff, I don't touch it.  When I'm on approach, I use a it a lot to help maintain a certain glide slope, and when I land, I set it to full.  I simply hit the default keyboard key once I'm done.  It's not really much of a biggie, but yeah, I know it's annoying.

The SMALLEST increment of spoilers sets it to armed I believe, at least thats the way it works on mine. A small spout of thrust usually helps it retract or, if not, thrust+spoiler extend full position+retract full position usually works.

Alright, well, it's a shame it can't be fixed.
