Joystick not recognised...

Postby Bazza » Fri Sep 07, 2007 10:23 pm

Hi Team,

Been a pretty slack member for some time but am now back with a new system, a decent video card, and am ready to rumble...

However, immediate problem.     My new system, still on XP, won't pick up the old Saitek joystick     When I swapped USB slots it advised me that "an unidentied USB device had malfunctioned."     Device Manager is not helpful.     The joystick has not malfunctioned and is still working OK on my old system which is in standby, emergency mode.     Any ideas...?

Also before I add in DirectX9, is it OK with FS9?     I had a feeling in the back of my mind that there had been some worries...?

Hi Baz, well FS9 needs DX9 to run properly so just add it! As for the joystick that does sound weird. Have you tried connecting any other USB devices to that port to test the port itself?
