Settings for a 7600GT

Postby ppgstf » Fri Aug 10, 2007 10:51 am

As I have said in a previous post, I have just put a 7600GT factory overclocked card in my PC.  It's a 256 and it's AGP.

What I am asking is are there any definative settings for the card ?  When you right click on your desktop and go Settings etc and arrive at your card, I have set the AA and antiscopic there, rather than in FS9.  But there are a load of other variables there, both in the standard and advanced options within the card.

Hence my question, can anyone please advise?

You dont need to mess with everything but here are the settings I would use:

AF: 16x
Gama Correction: ON
AA: 4x (note, you may need to drop to 2x if the system itself is slow)
AA Transparency: OFF
Conformant texture Clamp: USE HARDWARE
Error Reporting: OFF
Extension Limit: OFF
FORCE MIPMAPS: NONE
Milti/display: SINGLE (umless you use 2 or more monitors)
Texture Filtering - High Quality
Trilinear Opt - Off
Aniso. sample opt. - Off
Negative LOD BIAS - Clamp
Threaded optimization:
REGARDLESS OF THE TYPE OF CPU YOU USE
FOR WINDOWSXP SET OFF
FOR WINDOWS VISTA ON
Vertical Sync: USE APPLICATION

Nick with that AVATAR you're suppposed to say:

"No problemo"

Hasta la vista baby

Jim

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
John Connor: No, no, no, no. You gotta listen to the way people talk. You don't say "affirmative," or some shit like that. You say "no problemo." And if someone comes on to you with an attitude you say "eat me." And if you want to shine them on it's "hasta la vista, baby."
The Terminator: Hasta la vista, baby.
John Connor: Yeah but later, dickwad. And if someone gets upset you say, "chill out"! Or you can do combinations.
The Terminator: Chill out, dickwad.
John Connor: Great! See, you're getting it!
The Terminator: No problemo.
