PSU Question (Nick N?)

I'm not very good at understanding PSU's, too many confusing numbers.
Basically I need to know if the following PSU will run my new rig.

My maximum budget for a PSU is

Just a guess, but if I've been payin attention close enough, he'll suggest something close to this one for a system like that:

I have to ask this... You guys go out and are WILLING to buy the quad core and the better hardware but for some reason you are NOT willing to buy or consider the PSU

What? Because its just a power supply and not a processor it should not be considered as one of the better parts of the purchase?

If you guys are going to look at quad cores and nice cards, you better get use to buying a power supply on the SAME QUALITY level

A PSU is MORE important than anything else it then tower. If its cheap, your performance on that EXPENSIVE hardware will be cheap.. guess what, you screwed yourself out of the advancements you made with buying the better hardware!

PSU can not be cheap, no way, no how.. you go cheap you may as well buy the dual core and lower power draw card

you may be able to get buy on 150USD with that type of system, and that is ONLY if you know how to check it for quality

OK, they dont post that spec, which is a clue

Also, that is a 4 rail power supply, another clue its crap. they spred the power across the rails to hide the fact it cant deliver on all rails at once when its hot.

If you dont intend to put any more devices in that tower or upgrade the video card, I think you can get away with this one:

but that would a minimum and it would work, especially since you would be running 230+VAC for europe

I found the OCZ 700 unit too and commented about it above... as for the other one, that is the same as the first.. I have no was of tracking down the manufacture or the specs... those bargan PSU's at that site are impossible to check.
