any modern AMD or Intel processor has x64 support (ie; A64, C2D, etc)

If you dont know how to deal with a x64bit operating system and do not intend to run 4gigs of memory, stick with a x32bit OS

when ever you see the term x64 it means 64bit

all modern Intel and AMD processors have BOTH 64bit and 32bit support which means they can run in on either a 32bit or 64bit operating system

Standard Windows operating systems sold are mostly 32bit.

64bit version of the Windows operating systems are not used by the typical pubilc as much,. Usually what you find in stores is 32bit. Professionals and higher function number crunchers use X64 but that is starting to change. I use it.
