AGP speed

Postby Ravang » Wed Aug 08, 2007 6:54 pm

I was wondering how I could set my AGP speed on my vid card, I go and put the speed setting on 4X then restart, and it goes back to OFF, so I tried 8X and the same thing happens :-/
My Stats:

AMD Athlom XP 3000+ rated at 3.0 GHz
512 MB of RAM
AGP Radon X1650
300 & 80 gig hard-drives
500 watt PSU

Look through your BIOS if there's something wrong with AGP timing etc.
If not, how old is your graca (i don't know these ati numbers) and what is the highest agp speed your sys works with?

Standard and maximum AGP speed is 8x. Normally every AGP today should have it. My motherborad is about 3 years old, it has still agp and it has 8x. If you don't have a motherboard that was developed 10 years ago..... :D don't know try googling there are so many computer forums where you will (/maybe) find an answer or more answers for this.
