I'm no expert with video cards and PSU (but I'm learning).

I don't know about the X1950Pro you've listed, but should I upgrade my video card to an ATI X1950 (512MB), it's been recommended that I should get a 600W PSU for that card.

From what I've learned, I don't think 500W will be enough for a 512MB video card.

And yes, 2MB RAM is minimum to enjoy FSX.

its not the amount of memory the card has, its the needs of the entire card

Nvidia cards tend to run on less current than ATI. ATI have been amp suckers since the days of the 9800pro

Like I said, I'm no expert, but I've learned something new just now.

Thanks, Nick!

Nick, thanks very much mate for your help so far.
However, it is a good PSU by the looks of it, but I can't really stretch my budget much further.
I have found a 650W PSU, and I just see loads of letters not knowing what they mean, would this be any good do you think?
