Games crashing non stop.

Postby waspiflab » Sun Jul 15, 2007 2:16 pm

Every game I own now crashes to desktop for some reason after about 10min-1/2 an hour of playing.
No overheat, PSU is fine for my x1950pro 512mb, ram tested and ok, all DX tests ok, sound card ok.
Had no problems until a few days ago????It says DDraw Test Result: Not run and sound but they were and all fine and saved??If I needed a new PSU which would you advise?? 450watt at the moment.Drivers are 7.6 Catalyst drivers.

Have you tried any of the futuremark benchmarks?

3D Mark 05 or 06 will stress your system graphically, do a few runs though, one won't be enough to pick up on any instabilities.

Apart from the heatsink ... you may want to upgrade the PSU 450watts is not a lot for running that X1950.  :-/ :-/
