The GFX chip doesn't look too excitingly, but the reast is just fine.

I thought the 8 Series supported DX10...Ah well...Its okay though...I still like the lappy :)

the 8400 does support DX10, But go fetch a lappy for 1600 or so with an 8600 in it

You'll end up kicking yourself in the pants in the future but thats your choice, I have a 7300LE and I am debating on killing the card or slamming my head into a barrier  ;D

Wow, all I can do is laugh. For $2,400 you got a laptop that is about $1000 overpriced. Look at Dell, Toshiba, HP, you would have paid at least $1000 less. The 7300 is an alright processor, not great, but I'll give it power consumption and cache. Still would have prefered a 7500. That hard drive is gonna screw you. 4200RPM, its going to take forever for things to load, install, anything. The Blu-Ray player is a nice thing, but realistically there is no use for it now. As others have said the GPU sucks, for just $150 more, you could have gotten a 7950GTX from Dell.

So overall, I would bring it back, come to us first, and then spend your money wisely.

You know Ct I bet it cost 1,000 more because of that BluRay, they are incredibly expencive.

Just buy a PS3... :P  much easier.. (and cheaper)

I doubt it, Dell offered the option to me for an extra $600, so unless the one dell is offering is crap, I think its just sony jacking up prices because they can.
