Am I deaf, crazy, or out of luck?

Hello all.

Once again, my PC is giving me the finger, this time in the form of the integrated audio systems. Several weeks ago, the sound simply stopped working, restarts don't have effect. I reinstalled the drivers (Sound Max, downloaded from Dell.com), and the sound was fixed, but after next restart it went away again. Anyone got any ideas?

If that doesn't work, then a reformat may need to happen.

Volume is in order, q-tips on hand!

Found problem: A ruined sound card.

Surprised it didn't take anything along with it. Surprised the rig would even start! Computers confuzzle me!



$50 lost to crappy hrdware
