Serious AA problem

Postby lilley » Tue Jun 05, 2007 10:00 am

Hey guys

Ive got a problem where my AA on my vid card screws up my system effectively.

I have the AA at full on my vid card (4x  :-[) the choices being off, 2x, 2xQ and 4x. My card being a GeForce 7500LE, so im off to a bad start!
I start up the sim and the first problem is that the window that shows the selected aircraft is black.... thats nothing biig though so i go into teh sim start flying. I want to take a screenshot. Press prt sc, then i press the windows button to come out of the sim and then the whole screen turrns into a hugely pixelated mess, i cant see anything on the computer just a load of random lines that once made up the desktop of my computer.

After that happens, and it happens every time, i have to press and hold the off button to do a cold start before i can do anything again....

I have also tried turning the AA off in the sim aswell as leaving it on, but the same happens!
I would just leave it at in-sim AA but its really bad and doesnt do its job!

Can anyone help me at all?

Cheers
James

If no one replies, no one replies.

All I can say is: Install newe drivers for the graphics card (Current: 158.22), if the problem persists, try turning down AA (2*).
The "black aircraft selection screen" in FS9 is, as far as I've experienced it, an indication for a too high AA setting (usually happens with 8* AA and more).

Worst case could be a broken memory chip on the card...

I am also guessing that your desktop resolution and your sim resolution are different? Make these the same and that should be fixed. New drivers may help, who knows so give em a shot.

And isn't that card intagraded? If so try to throw more RAM its way.
