Don....

As a Retired Gentleman with limited funds, and having so much fun and excitement with getting high frame rates, and smooth flights in FS 9....
...why are you raiding your bank for large sums of money, to risk poverty and stress and the possibility of a heat attack and early demise, in struggling to maintain <5 FPS in FSX... :'(....

...I ask myself... ::)...!

LOL...only joking!.... ;D...!

As for Graphics Card Manufacturers....I have always been addicted to nVidia Ge-Force Graphics Cards, so I can't give any recommendations for other types.....
...pop into the "Hardware Forum" below, for advice in that field...;)...!

ATi and Nvidia BOTH make good videocards. However if there were one card I would recommend it would probably be the Nvidia 7900GS.

High clock speeds aren't really essential. I'm not saying a PIII 600MHz is awesome, but my CPU runs at 2.2GHz, just for comparison. So maybe you can tell us what CPU(Processor) you have. :)
