With it taking a while, I hope you did not blow another driver or registry gasket.

If you did, then 1T on that memory is not going be stable much higer than the default.

If thats the case I will post some conservative numbers to work with since we are seeing the limits of what the hardware will do.

I'm here and checking in, just wire-dogging in the mean time

I had a problem rebooting when it did not like the settings. Had to find something that would let it boot back up.

What we have now boots consistantly with no problems.

If the above post is hard to read I can e-mail the excell sheet

I am running the GPU at stock speed. Also I am in multi monitor mode so the 3DMark06 scores are not world record holders but they have been fluctuating about 100 points.

When we get done today I will save the bios profile then run default bios and whatever bios we end with today and see exactly what the change is.

Thats fine.. I am still trying to find a set of numbers that looks good to me based on what we have see so far.

In the end I assume you will clock up the GPUs and memory. They will benefit from what we end up with and since the 590 chipset has the unique ability to run a split 300MHz PCIe bus, (150MHz per slot) clocking the cards will bring a good return to the mix. I do not know if you have ever tested their limits and I am not sure how well they may do in SLi clocked, but as I recall they will default to the slower speed card.

I only have one board in right now because of Vista.

I am using XP right now so when we get done I will put the other card back in and see what happens.

Also the Vista drivers do not have the classic view and cannot run coolbit.

Have never overclocked the cards any other way so might need some help with that also.

I figured out my problem though. There is no magnetron or wave tubes on this thing..... :P

ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vista has a muti montior patch now... I posted in the FSX forum

I forgot about the clock limit in Vista. I have not used it for a Nvidia card since last year.

I am going to let board have control of the memory back in some areas and see how it does. Sorry about the hold up. I get close with one number and the CPU Vcore limit keep rearing up and biting me

At 8:30 (50 min) I have to let the birds out for their evening play time... That takes about an hour so if you want to continue after that, or call it a night, is ok with me. We are night owls and will be up for a while anyway.

No problem. I see you are a night owl. LOL

I have been getting in very late in the last several weeks and you are usually around.

For whatever reason, it really seems odd that they would have done that, unless they could not get it to work right so modified what they had to make it look good.
