Lowest prices for X-52?

Postby Jakemaster » Wed Apr 18, 2007 8:20 am

I'm looking to buy me an X-52 to replace my aging and busted yoke (I dropped it a few times and 2 of the levers broke (throttle and prop), the springs are starting to loosen, and its generally falling apart.  My pedals are in better shape but the covering for the wires (the black stuff) pulled away at the base of the pedals leaving the wires exposed (not the metal but the wires inside the big black sleeve), so I think the pedals will be fine.  Also the X-52 would be more practical for my dorm room next year as when im not using it I can just push it aside.

Unfortunately the darn thing is still pretty expensive, and even though I should have money from graduation and birthday gifts from relatives I don't know that I want to shell out the 110 dollars at some stores if I can get it elsewhere for less.  I saw it for 99 at amazon.com but it was out of stock and even though by the time I buy it they will probably have them theres also a good chance the price will go up too...

Anyone know of any store or online retailer where I could pick one up for under a 100?  Or does anyone have alternative suggestions for a joystick of the same quality for less?  In general it seems like the X-52 is the preffered joystick and very popular, and I'd really like to have the seperate throttle because from my experiences with the old Sidewinder I have the little tine throttle things (you can barely call them levers ::)) I really would like something with more substance (and I'm definately not shelling out 150 for a throttle quad from CH products).

In case you didn't know, I mean USD  :P

Thanks for your help...

Comp USA had them for like $50 last time I went in. They were on clearance.
