What Kind of headset do you recommend

Hey All,

I'm going to be trying to start a two ship P-51D Aerobatic Team called The Virtual Horsemen. The aircraft that we will  be using will be Warwick Carters P-51 and the repaints of Crazy Horse and Cripes A' Mighty. Now before I can get started on that I have to invest in a headset so there is com between me and the other pilot. Just thought I would ask what everyone recommends  before I go out and purchase one. The Sennheisers are very nice BUT they are over twice the price of the Saitek (in the UK)

I use a set of these:

Once you have a sub kicker rumbling in each ear with a true 5.1 surround speaker system and run this demo:

... you never go back to single element headsets, unless they are Bose

and you dont need a room blasting 5.1 system to hear it all even louder, with the rumble


The 1/2 thick black velvet ear pads make it the most comfortable full size headset I have -ever- owned and only matched by my Bose headphones for comfort and sound which is not designed with a mic:

The Medusa will blow you away if its hooked up right and calibrated correctly. When a freight train rolls by in a true 5.1 video and finally passes its no different than if you were standing in front of the tracks.... your ears ring from the rumble and you feel the air of the train in your ear from the kickers which the Bose will not produce.

for 1/3rd the price of the Bose, they are well worth the cost:

but the amp on that model is know to hum if its not properly grounded

Do not get the USB model because USB, especially USB sound, sucks the life out of computer performance unless you use an external powered hub.
