Hi guys i decided to purchase a new computer at my friend's company.

here are the specs: (it will cost me 2000$CAN with tax and all)

INTEL CORE 2 DUO E6420 2.13GHZ 4MB RETAIL
ASUS P5N32-SLI PREMIUM WIFI-AP NFORCE 590SLI
OCZ TITANIUM 4.0GB OCZ2T8002GK
SEAGATE 320GB SATA-300 7200RPM 16MB
BFG GF-8800GTS OC 320MB BFGR88320GTSOCE

ANTEC SONATAII MID 450W *BLACK*
VIEWSONIC VX2035WM 20.1" WIDE 800:1 5MS SLV/BLK

So what do you think is it worth it?Also will i be able to run FSX without any tweeks on it and maxed out?

I'm asking you because i'm a total noob when it comes to hardware.

NO, not even close

I just got finished wiz-banging a E6300 in a clock wioth a 8800GTS 640... and it runs reeeeal smooth, but is is no where near maxed out and does require tweaks

There is no such thing as hardware you can fly FSX on out of the box with no tweaks maxed out.. try again in about a year or 2

E6700 (or better) with a 8800GTX (GTS if you cant afford GTX) and a minimum of DDR2 800 memory on the right motherboard

That will get you flying nice but you will still need to tweak the FSX config file and set up Windows correctly... NEVER hack the textures. When I said it requires tweaks, that tweaking numbers only, not hacking the textures in the sim.

Maxing FSX out of the box was planned for hardware released in 2008-2009

on the right motherboard

Yes it is running it well, at 20 frames locked and with a good hardware and tweak approach

The more the better. 640 will work

And be advised, we had to work pretty hard to get him where he is. The better the processor, memory and motherboard (that allows clocking too) the better you will do.

I really think money is better spent after June when the next gen of hardware is out. To dump cash on the hardware available today, which is last years old news, seems a bit of a waste to me. The new stuff will be on the market full boar by mid summer

I will have to look into what is currently available. I think you would be better off on a Intel chipset motherboard unless you need the NV chipset support for SLi

Nvidia chipset does not mean better 8800 performance

Where are you ordering this from? Also looks like you just bought a Vista system, have fun trying to get more than 3 FPS out of FSX in vista. Oh yea, and see if you can even get vista booted without bluescreening. nVidia G71 / G80 + Vista = they hate eachother.

Cheers
