Card reader question

Postby Gunny04 » Wed Feb 21, 2007 9:27 pm

Can a internal card reader be used like a floppy drive and boot from it? (Provided you had a memory card of some kind) I'm just curious.... Strange thought came to my head and I never heard if it was possible or not.

Yes. You just have to go through your boot menu to direct boot to it, it doesn't do it automatically.

Hmmm I think I will mess with it and try and see if I can flash my bios with it (I am doubtful.... but strange things can happen)

Gunny

EDIT: Hmm strange.... the bloody think was detected as a USB zip drive? anyways it just went into an error and wouldnt do anything, I was just wondering if it was possible to flash the bios or get into dos with an SD digital card using a card reader.... spare myself to buy a floppy drive but I'll probably have to just buy one anyways.
