The question is good enough for what? FS9 thats a half way decent system. You should be able to pretty much max the sliders, and get around 20~30 FPS (this taking into account you do some of the tweaking tips from nick). FSX is a different beast. It will rip that computer to shreads like a fat kid a cupcake. You will be stuck with mid/low settings achieveing maybe 10~15FPS. If your looking for FSX to run maxed at a stable 20+ frames, you are going to need a few upgrades.

Cheers
Cameron

PS: Welcome to the forums. Thanks for starting on my board.

I agree I have very close system Asus board, p4 2.8, 2gigs pc3200 400mgz ram, a antec 550watt psu, and a x1950pro agp, and can max out fs9 with all the pai traffic etc.... but the demo of fsx ran like crapola so I am not going to buy it till I can go core 2 duo, pciE etc.....

The biggest problem is the processer. The rest of the system isn't that bad, but that P4 is one hell of a bottolneck, your best bet is to overclock to match the card. Getting 3.4 out of it shouldn't be hard, given you have proper cooling, and that should get you some better frames in FSX sonic.

FS9 is the previous version, known as FS2004-A Century of Flight. (FSX=FS10)

With the release of FSX, FS9 is now pretty cheap, ~$20 US at most retailers, like Wal-Mart.

Might be a good option for you, as you should be able to achieve good performance and there is tons of support in the way of add-ons and enhancements.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

Um, if you bought the crossfire edition, it may not work properly. The crossfire edition cards are suppost to be the second card in the crossfire setup.

I bet you have an AGP slot on your mainboard and the new 1950 won't fit because it's a PCIe interface.  Not your fault sangn, it's a game the hardware industry plays to keep screwing us all.
