CH Products Flight Yoke

Postby NDSP » Wed Jan 31, 2007 6:49 pm

I had a CH Yoke for about 6 months. The reason I stopped useing it was because it blew out my USB connecters. As in when I plugged it in and ran FS9, a message on my computer came up saying "Power Surge on USB Hub" and it wouldnt work. I am not a computer genius and dont know exactly what the problem was (running a windows XP Dell).

I am not sure about all the technical stuff, all I can say is, Im running Windows XP, on a Dell Desktop that holds about 69 GB of memory.

If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi.  Been using CH Products yoke and pedals for a long time.  No such issues.

Do you have other usb devices plugged in?  How many?  Are you using powerred hubs....or passive ones?

JUst guessing.... but if you have a lot of stuff plugged in and are not using poweered hubs.... that could be the source of the message.  Might mean that the total draw of the devices running exceeds the power sent to the buss.

best,

Nothing else plugged in. Just the Yoke.

All I know about powered Hubs and all that stuff is that I was just plugging it into the USB drive in the front of my computer.
