I'm going to sort of buy one or two parts a month but probably bout

Here is your list.

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
ASUS P5N32-E SLi
nVidia 8800GTS from nVidia
2GB DDR2-800 (OCZ or Corsair)
250GB SATA3 Drive from Western Digital
Earnmax Galaxy 850W PSU
DVD Drive
Windows XP or Vista

Then add in a case, and other bits such as a monitor and keyboard etc as you need them. That rig will run you about $1600 USD. And don't buy in bits. save up, and make one big purchase.

what sort of performance would that give in fsx? I want to spend 800-1000 on everything including monitor would I be able to change something that wouldn't comprimise the performance so much? Also just curious, why buy all at once?

That will give you excellent preformance with FSX. However looking at it, thats about $1800 with shipping and VAT.

If you're looking to max your sliders (or get close) you are going to need to spend about $1500+ on the system.

Now if your willing to overclock, and are good with numbers, then we could get you some lower prices.

Wait till atleast MID year before upgrading.

Then you can get a E6600 for $220 as well as a midrange DX10 video card.

I saw your video on building a computer ctjoyce and was amazed with all your little custom made RAM sticks and so on.  But I honestly have little knowledge on computer hardware and overclocking machines, how I wish I did though!  Will I be able to easily upgrade the system as time goes on, coz I don't want to keep spending a fortune on buying a new rid everytime the next FS is released?

OMG!!? if you haven't seen anyone or got any idea , please don't take risk, there's too much money involve,AND if you do make sure to apply corretcly the headsink to the cpu (well contact it ,and to the motherboard) and the fan,and becareful with the static(specialy in ddrs)

As long as you get a good high quality motherboard, upgradeing over time is very simple.

Patience is the key.

There are two methods 4 u to upgrade:

1.  Gradual, new part every 6-18 months.   -    for those with little or no patience
2.  Pow!!!!!!! new setup every 4-8 years.     -    for those with quite a bit or a lot of patience

Im doing the Pow!!!!!!! method.

The truth is tho, i hav no patience.  But i hav alot of will power.
