is it any reason not to use the long format?
I can install windows on a difrend HD, and go to manage my computer and format the raid 0 arry for 64kb. but is it true thet SP2 will run better on 4kb?
I was shocked to hear that my norton internet security is trash. I'm going to get theNOD32, but what about pop up and ad blocker?
and what about norton GHOST, wich is my best backup?
Microsoft removed the ability for Windows to run on anything other than 4k clusters when they released SP2. If you try to install WindowsXP SP2 on a drive that has been formatted above 4K clusters, you will get a big black screen that says it cant boot right after Windows gets finished installing. That is why it requires a HACKED SP2 disk with the right SP1 NTFS files slipstreamed into it for the trick to work.
Your running an insane array for a typical user.. you dont need the tweak. Forget it
Shocked?
Norton and anything by symantic takes over your entire system and itself is SPYWARE.
Forget that garbage and use NOD32. You will never get a succesful virus attack. Microsoft in Germany has been running NOD32 for a long time.
The popup blocker in IE7 works fine. If you want more support for that, (which you dont need) I suggest a stand alone which is proven to do the job and not be a huge drain on the system.
Ghost is the only product symantic ever made that actually has value however there are other programs that will do the same job as well. Ghost is fine though.
