I got the one suggested, BFG GeForce 7600 GS OC 512MB DDR2 HDTV/DVI (AGP) so you reckon i could be gettin 40FPS how can I achieve this, I am only getting about 8-18FPS

To be honest your CPU is not the best for FSX and there's little chance of achieving 40fps with it.
On the other hand, try setting your target frame rate to 20-22.. you may not get there either but it's worth a try.
Wait until 2007 for your new PC.  ;)

The Human eyes will see the exact images at 30 fps or at 1.000.000 fps it will be exact images for your eyes and monitor screen as if it were 30 ,My advise buy this last one

I'm running a similar set-up to gavinprice's in that I have an AMD sempron 2400 and Nvidia FX5200 graphic card. I took one look at the FSX demo on my system and decided to continue to enjoy FS9, (which runs OK at 30 f.p.s with sliders about 75%), until I upgrade to a mature Vista/DX10 base on an AMD dual processor system. Which to me means "Wait till at least late 2007" So, gavinprice, I think your new card will run FS9 very nicely, but forget FSX until you get a new system.
AMD 64 X2-5200, NVidia 9600GT 512, 2048 DDR, 2x250 GB SATA, Saitek X45, Win XP SP3 (Win7-64bitRC1 and FSX on 2nd HD)
