6600gt vs 7600gs New card needed

I am after a new AGP videocard to replace my Nvidia FX5500 which is not performing as good as i need. I have been looking at several models including the 6600GT and the 7600gs. Has anyone had one of these cards and if so would they recommend either. i cannot afford to go for a high end card and these have been recommended to me with the 7600gs being my first choice.

Definately go with the 7600GT all the way. Between Pixel Shader 3, HDR, and improoved RAM chips its the better card.

Cameron I am referring to the 7600GS not the 7600GT which is a slightly less expensive card by about $A100

Notice that he needs an AGP card.

I know, the PCIe ones are cheap, but the AGP versions (if any are available) will probably be so high priced it's not viable.

Maybe the 7800GS will become affordable.

Yeh go for the 7600GS or maybe a 6800XT.

the 7 series will give u stunning performance but the 6 series is a lil cheaper.
