If you want to upgrade to DirectX10, unless you have really deep pockets, I wouldn't buy two 7900GTX. Two 7900GTX cards will cost $800. What is the point if they are gonna be outdated in less than a year?

7900GTX is at best about 10 fps faster than 7950GT but costs a $100 more. It is a good card, but is it worth the extra $100?

I'm pretty sure ctjoyce was refering to the 7950GX2 and not the 7950GT. He wouldn't compare a $800 investment to a $300 one.

Okay, maybe I was a little over-reacting.

There is nothing wrong with those cards, they are great. But why buy the 7900GT when you can get the 7900GS, or the 7900GTX when you can get the 7950GT? The small performance gain isn't really worth the extra $50 to $100 cost to me.

Well...I have done my homework, and I decide to go with the.......ATI X1950XTX!

As "Legit Reviews" says and you can see the chart,

Here is a copy of the article:

This will likely be ATI's last high-end GPU launch before Windows Vista and DirectX 10 come along in the first quarter of 2007(so long as Microsoft doesn't delay it again), and who knows how long it will be before we see more than a handful of titles utilizing DirectX 10. The X1950XTX is in a great position to give you the best gaming performance until DirectX 10 becomes mainstream.

Legit Bottom Line: ATI has added super fast 2GHz GDDR4 memory to the R580 core, reduced noise levels and slahsed prices with the launch of the Radeon X1950XTX. Without a doubt the ATI Radeon X1950XTX is the fastest single video card and there is no reason why this card shouldn't be in your next high end gaming system.

"END OF THE STORY"

Now i'm going to dig for a Board, Ram PSU Etc...

Have fun!
