I got a reply from a Saitek guy about a new release coming really soon, but he couldn't comment on it.

I think its gonna be a new joystick...

Their rudder pedals are advertiosed on the back of Compouter Pilot magazine already...so that might be it.

They do indeed look nice. I like them much better than the CH ones.

I went to a shoe store yesterday and notice those pedals resemble the same thing they size your feet with. LMAO!

Also reminds me of a stair master or some other fandangled piece of exercise equiptment, the CH pedals may look bland but they look far more realistic, and since i havent seen the Saiteks in person looking at images they look to small and clumsey for someone with large feet

There ARE some other nice pedals out in the market.... look very much like the real thing on heavy metal...... but they are pretty pricey.

If I had decent metal working tools I'd build a set and strip the guts out of the CH Pro Pedals I own.  But alas... I don't have those tools.

Tis a new joystick - with twin throttles and lots (4) of pretty switches. Aimed at commercial and historic twin flyers. Looks about as practical as a chocolate teapot as the throttle levers are in the centre in front of the stick, so you need a dodgy shaped arm or long fingers to operate them without looking like a complete twit!

To me it looks like an ergonomic nightmare. I could show them in about 30 seconds how to make it far more user friendly, but for some reason they've gone for that bizarre layout.

I don't mind that stick at all.  It looks to me like a stick that supposed to resemble the sticks in most modern GA props (SR-20/22, DA-20/40, XL-2, etc...) and the throttle position means you wouldn't be able to have your hands on the throttle and stick at all times, which is how most GA aircraft are.  Unlike a HOTAS stick, this one would make you set the throttle(s) to a take-off/climb/cruise/etc... setting so you could use your other hand to control something else.  I also like it becuase it looks like you can use it either right-handed, or left-handed, which is a blessing to all the left-handed simmers out there, but it also allows people who have been flying right handed all these years, to fly left-handed, and see what it is like in most non-military aircraft with a stick, instead of a yoke.

Yeah, I see what you mean. Although I always though you're supposed to fly airliners left-handed, and use the keyboard with your right hand for realism. Captain's seat is on the left hand, throttle, and other controls are on the right.
