Does this look slightly stacked to anyone else?

I mean if the X1950 beats out the 7950GX2 thats fine, but I doubt those numbers are real, the frames just arn't right. I mean if you look closely the 7900GTX beats out the 7950GX2.

I also think those scores are fake. I like one of the comments from the site:

a 1900 XTX double as fast as a 7900 gtx, their 9800 pro probably beat a 7900 gtx to hehe

I stumbled on a real review of X1950. It is faster than the 7900GT, but doesn't beat the 7900GTX.

I recently read a review on the GPUs in question and the 7900 in SLI mode did indeed beat the 7950 in quad SLI in a lot of the tests.

I cant remember the exact reason given in the review but it had to do with limitations in XP.

The release version of Vista will not have the limitations and will let the Quad 7950s do what they were designed to do.

I will look for the article tomorrow and post a link.

I knew that two 7900GTX beat out two 7950GX2, however the margin wasn't by what is shown in the review above.

I did also know the X1950 was faster than the 7900GT, however again it wasn't by that much.

So my conclusion is that AMTi is trying to sell off the last of their cores in a late release.

Ummm, the Radeon X1950 is slower than the 7900GTX in about 2 of the tests. In the rest it's significantly faster.

Cam, although I know you are biased to Intel and Nvidia, ....  I think your really pushing your luck trying to make that statement.  ;D

Looking into this further

http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2821

There is no clear winner, its all in which game you play. In HL2, Black & White, Quake 4, and others nVidia is the winner, however in other things like BF2, and FEAR AMTi takes the gold.

And its also further proof that Quad SLi is the biggest waste of time and money ever.
