Juts found out the Saitek UK store is out of stock, so Im going to be waiting a few days before I get my excited little paws on that beauty. After reading reviews and hearing what you guys have to say, I really cant wait to get that baby. Im gonna need to set reminders to myself reminding me to eat and sleep (maybe even breath occassionally too) coz I get the feeling I am going to be glued to FS9 for a considerable amount of time!

Dave3cu - That is a cracking idea mate! im loving it, tho maybe I can get the same functionality by using the pedals from my steering wheel? I shall have to investigate when i get it!

J...(waiting with baited breath)...B

I've had an X-45 for some time and wouldn't trade it for anything. Well, I would trade it for a CH yoke and pedal set but then I'd buy an X-52 for flying helos.  ;D

I used to think Saitek had some of the best gear for the money but then I bought CH stuff and after that all the rest are just toys. Wasted a lot of money buying stuff because of price and "cool looking" features when I would have saved much paying a little more sooner.

Although my MS Sidewinder still holds up strong great to take when I travel from my simpit ;) The X45 sits gathering dust, X52 went to the trash after being replaced 3 times by Saitek due to bad memory chips inside. And the Logitechs great for giving to friends who think they may like flight simming and want to try it.

Hope the X52 works well for ya!

We've never had s single problem with any of the X52's we've sold - or any other Saitek joystick for that matter.

It is the best you can get in my opinion and I have a box full of CH yokes and pedals which aren't bad, but they are bulky ;D

Well after a horrible three day delay, my X52 is finally on its way, I should have it sometime tomorrow. I cant believe I am getting so excited over a joystick..... Hmmmm

Well I am delighted to inform that my Saitek arrived about half an hour ago, it was plugged in and I was setting assignments before the courier had left the driveway ha ha.

I do have one question for any saitek x52 users out there, is there anyway to set reverse thrust and then throttle up up again, rather than having the throttle at idle and just pushing a button?

I looked for a control assignment for this, but only found 'decrease throlltle quickly' (F2 by default)

It would be great to be able to hit the reversers and push the throttle back up!

Decrease throttle quickly is in effect reverse thrust on those models that have reverse thrust.

What we do for reverse thrust is use the forefinger lever on the throttle.
