How to disable my SLI malarkey...?

Postby Fozzer » Thu Aug 17, 2006 12:58 pm

Hello Lads...

Suddenly..after reinstalling my Win Xp, and reinstalling my latest nVidia GPU drivers...I am now getting a pop-up in the task bar when boot-up has finished, saying....

"Hey Fozzer! You have removed one if your SLI cards, so it will no longer work in SLI Mode...Na-Nana-Na-Na"... :P...!

Now me, knowing that there is only one AGP slot on my Motherboard, am well aware of that situation, and I am quite happy with that arrangement, thank-you very much... ;D...!

So...

I have browsed around all the various nVidia control panels, but nowhere can I find an option to stop the little buggar reminding me every time I boot-up...>:(...!

Soddin' Little Iindividual...!!

...any ideas, Lads...;)...?

Paul.... 8)...!

Don't worry. I have that same annoying popup, and I only have a single 7600GT. I can't find a way to shut it off, but I can live with it.

He wouldn't shoot his monitor. And even if he would he wouldn't use a 9mm. He'd use a Webley-Fosbery .455.

I have the same card, and was getting the same pop-up. Don't worry, it'll go away in a couple of weeks.

What drivers are you using?

I have a choice of 4 sets of drivers:

The original ones that came with the BFG 6600GT card.
77.77.
78.01.
93.31.

93.31 are currently installed.

Have you looked in the Nvidia Control panel under "SLI Multi GPU" and make certain none of the boxes are checked?

Hi Pol...

I can find nothing in any of the nVidia control panel options which allows switching off the SLI mode.... :'(...!
Certainly no boxes to tick or untick...

AGP slot with a single GPU feeding a single Monitor.

I also have the exact same card, except PCI-E. Out of the box the core is clocked at 525 and memory at 1050.
