while looking into my new rig set up. im torn if i should go duel core or single core.
but something that has been puzzeling me is,
is it 2.4 ghz in each core or 2.4ghz as the max from both.

I've seen people on eBay selling a dual core 3.2 GHZ Pentiums and advertising it as 6.4 GHZ. Unfortunately it doesn't work that way.
All you need is this.
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe.
2 x 2.4Ghz cores
4MB L2 Cache
Shared L2 Cache
And its a Conroe.
