Push to Talk on CH Yoke

Postby chief1995 » Thu Jul 27, 2006 1:11 pm

Is there a way I can assign one of the keys on the Yoke as a "push to talk key" to use when I am flying on-line?
I currently use the Ctrl ky on my keyboard, but it sure would be more convient to use a key on th Yoke!

Thanks all,

Chief

Ive thought it would be a good idea however i havnt figured out a way to do it :(

Also it may be helpful to tell us what type of yoke you have, i have the X-45 and supposedly you can assign the buttons to mimic a letter on a the keyboard for tohe old games where you cant change assignments  ;)

I am now useing voice activation, once you get it set correct it works quite well   8)

I agree,  voice activation would be nice. But, the airline I usually fly with does not allow that, it causes to much noise in background.

Not sure about the CH Yoke as both BAW & myself use Saiteks (X45 & X52), which come with their own software for assigning the buttons to pretty much whatever keys you like - I didn't know whether the CH Yoke came with anything similar?

Pretty sure Jakemaster uses a CH Yoke & he has TS, so maybe he'll pop along in a bit with some info.

Cheers,

Roger that TSC, I will wait,  I am sure it can be done. I saw a post somewhere on how to program it.  At the time I didnt have the yoke so I didnt pay much attention to it!

Cheers!!

Ive never been able to figure it out, but I think you can do it if you have the registered version of FSUIPC.  I have the CD from the CH Yoke but I never installed it (it works as plug and play), but when I get back home tomorrow (probably will wait till saturday) I will install it and see if it can be set through the CH software.

BTW, I use push to talk on TS and I set the button as the back button on the mouse

You need to use the Control manager software from CH and map the key that you use for your comms to what ever button you want, as easy as that ;)

And you can go here:

http://www.ch-hangar.com/

check out there forums the support there cant be beat and they can help you do whatever it is you want to your CH gear!
