@#$!@ damn spyware HELP!!

Ok so as some of you rember i did a reformat, so no anti virus blockers were installed untill after a misfortuate act less that a week later ::) . I accdently clicked on a bad link and Spyfalcon "anti-spyware" gave me a nice little spyware/virus problem heres there site so you can see what im dealing with http://www.spyfalcon.com/?aff=265 So in order to get rid of their spyware they want you to pay and download their product, (DONT!! I HATE THEM! lol)  Well i have run Spybot search and desroy and got a good chunk out, then i got AVG trial (full version just 30 day limit) and got a few more things out, but i still have 2 items in my taskbar icon thing by the clock constantly telling me "you have spyware click here to find out how to get rid of it" in their own annoying way. these popups come evry 30 sec to a min. AND they have started this neat little trick where it gives me a link to "the fun stuff" and seing as i am christian and going to a friends b-day party from church tomarrow, this is QUITE embarrasing. I NEED a free anti virus that will get rid of this or a federal number so i can report these quys and get them in jail....  HELP!!!!  :-[  :-/

First of all go to Start>Run>type in 'msconfig'
Then click the startup tab.  Look for the offending program.  Uncheck the box next to it.  That will stop it booting up next time.

Then get: ad-aware

Also get: MS malicious software removal tool

Please reply with how it went.

ok i ran the ad aware  nothing... im running the ms stuff now  i saw the message again and noticed... its malware!! so perhaps diffent software is required   i have run 5 diffrent anti spy/ virus programs and it still there,  the system thing didn't do much.  good news tho  no more "fun stuff" is poping up, for now

ok i have tryed 6 programs a system edit AND i broke down and tryed the program from the company that caused all this and my anti virus disabled them proveing that they were the cause,  so that wont work. I fear my only hope is to reformat my computer   yet again,    it took 3 days to get it where i wanted it to be,  i'll also have to get this working by tomarrow if i am going to the party AND i got a report due tomarrow so i gotta type the rest of that up. luckly the spyware is only diplaying the little message saying "you have malware click our company to get rid of our stuff, er i mean the malware" I even tryed the "best malware" program xoftspy and that got rid of more but the root problem seems to be hideing deep in my system

Have you disabled Windows Messenger Service ? If not then do so ..... that could be the cause of the problem.

If all else fails, another reformat may be at hand, and before you do anything to your PC, install you antivirus, antispyware and firewall programs.

i rember the problem windows messenger had,  M$ disabled that a long time ago  i now never use it,   this is the real malware stuff lol    i will try the program you suggest,  however i may have to try the spyfalcon stuff scince they loaded it theyll get rid of it, THEN i will run my stuff to get rid of them  ;D
