I'd save yourself some money and go for PC2100 RAM. The 1150 is a bit of a pain because Dell says it supports PC2700, but I found out it DEFINITELY doesn't. You can try it, but it won't work any better than 2100.

I found the best upgrade for this laptop is to remove the 256 module and replace it with a single 1 gig PC2100 module. There's 2 ports, but it only supports 1 gig in total.

Ok, thanks for that, but also the cost $ of the PC 2100 is the same as the one i linked you to, so i will think about it...

512MB DDR PC2100
System Memory 40729-06 $64.99

512MB DDR PC2700
System Memory 40729-03 $64.99

So you think i should go for the PC2100 ?

No, Kip stop confuseing him. AVP get the  PC2100. Clocking RAM cannot be done in OEM BIOS, and therefore you will be stuck with something you can use.

If I were you I would go with two sticks of PC2100. Two sticks of this should fit your needs perfectly.

Cheers

Lol any time man, but your not going to be able to play BF2 on that system I'm afraid, well mabe on low graphics, but I wouldn't suggest buying a $50 to play on low graphics.  If you were looking for games, I would take a look more into the Steam powered genre.

Forget BF2 mate on that rig, anyway.

Sorry, but I play BF2 on my 1GB system (spec below) and that really needs 2GB for BF2.

Not really, your system needs a new processer 4-Series ;)

Personally I play BF2 on all the highest steeings averageing 40FPS. Now its not the gratest, but once I get my 2GB kit I should regain my 35FPS, and be back into the 1XX range when I get my 7900GT.
