I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!

Postby lintonam » Tue May 02, 2006 6:58 pm

Okay I want to build a PC that will take advantage of the 7600GS. I have a budget of $750 not much more. I would also like it to be designed to work with this case.

Okay then lets get started shall we?

You already have a GPU and a case correct, or do you just want a 7600? I'm also guessing that your going to take the DVD drive out of your current computer and also the harddrive.

So here goes.

Processer: AMD Athalon x64 3700+
Motherboard: ASUS A8N-SLi Premium
RAM: OCZ Enhanced Latency 1GB PC3200

Total $495

Now if you need said itoms (case, HDD, GPU, Optical drive)

HDD: [url=http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822144415]WD Caviar 160GB SATA3
DVD Burner: Samgsung Dual layer DVD burner
GPU: eVGA 7600GT

New Total $781

Now that motherboard is a bit over the top, and a lesser one can be bought if the extra $30 is too much.

Anyway with the exception of the GPU, for a little less than $800 thats probibly what I would build.

Cheers

Thanks for all of the help. I would like to know however what GPU you would use. I currently do not have any of the parts, but will be buying them shortly.

Well personally I would try to expand your budget to $800 so as you could buy a 7800GT. The extra power is going to be well appriciated, and isn't something thats going to be outdated in 3 months. And for the cool price of about $260 its hard to pass it up.

Well the 7900 is $320 ish, while the 7800 is $250. On a tight budget the 7800GT is the better buy.
