Sound cards

Postby Sir_Jon » Sat Apr 29, 2006 2:14 pm

Hi currently in the process of building a new rig, and I was just wondering if theres any difference in sound quality with a normal onboard sound card or whether something like the Create X-fi fatility would give better sound, specifically in FS9 (but also other games). Any help really appreciated.
Thanks,
-Sirjon-

I have yet to be dissapointed with AC'97.  The only reason you should buy a dedicated soundcard is if you really want all the EAX mumbo jumbo.  I'm not sure what all that does though.

Depends on what your playing on your pc and the quality of your speakers/headphones.  If your headphones cost less than
